We have a few mills, lathes and like 6 different welders plus a room with a plasma table in our bridge shop. And anything that is to much to do by hand we just take across the hall where we have the nicest CNC machines in the state and 2 full time machinists to help us :D We machine everything down to 1/10,000th of spec. We don't mess around.

HA! Who told you that was all there was to do here. This is my second year here and I'm yet to watch a single episode of something on netflix, and hardly any TV at that. I'm from down in Girdwood and I can tell you, its not nearly as bad here weather wise as people think. Its sunny here far more often, the snow is dryer, streets are a lot better, and -40 isn't NEARLY as bad as people think, especially since the wind never blows here. I'll be honest, Fairbanks as a city is kinda sad coming from Anchorage, but I can't speak highly enough about UAF, I love it here.

I love it here, how could I not reply to that. People are just closed minded because its "Fairbanks". It's what you make of it. Besides, who can complain about going to a school that pays you to attend instead of things working in reverse.

or we can create a tacomaworld baja team, I'm pretty sure all you need to be is college students and have a professor as a coach, don't think the professor even has to be in engineering

I have to ask, what year of school are you in, I'm guessing freshman.

And yes, I have 3 large merit scholarships, UA scholar, top tier APS, and ANSEP.
