I turned down the OAL on my spacers so the rack was less likely to catch tree limbs. IIRC I turned them down about .125"

There's about 5/8" from the lowest point (of the HD bar) and I thought of lowering the rack 1/4". There will be a 1/8" or 3/16" x 2" piece of aluminum flat bar bolted to the side slots of the HD bars. The drawer slides for my roof boxes will attach to the flat bar. The flat bar, drawer slide, and angle (that the box will sit on) should really stiffen up each bar and reduce any deflection that would create an issue.

If the camper doesn't contact the rack during an upcoming off-road trip, I'll just leave it at the current height. There's only 3/16" between the rack and the camper now.

I got my Cabrac installed last week, I like it a lot.

I'm going to powdercoat the sides to match my bedrack and once I figure out a cool design, I'm going to wrap the deflector.

I'm very impressed with this rack. I'm also impressed with Zach's customer service skills. He's been working on a custom Toprac for me and I'm super stoked to see the final version. Even though he's got a day job in addition to his rack business, he manages to keep me up to date on what is going on and he gives me fair ETAs. So if you are sitting on the fence about buying from him, I suggest you hop to it and buy yourself a quality rack today!

I'm interested in one of these for my leer camper shell. I don't have yakima or thule tracks installed. Is the spacing between the tracks real vital for install one of your racks? I've never installed one, so I'm not sure if yakima or thule rails will expand or contract to fit the width of the installed tracks. I imagine yours needs the tracks to be a fixed width???

My racks fit a range of widths since the mounting holes are slots. It gives you about 3" of play from the center of the tracks.

In addition, I always verify the width of the installed tracks to make sure if the crossbars need to be a different width to match the track width that they get done that way.

If you don't have the tracks installed I would recommend installing them at 42.5" on center which will give you the maximum width possible on the toprac and allow for the toprac to match the width of the cabrac if you ever decide to add one.
