Has anyone ever been to or heard of copicut?

 

Where's that?

Copicut Rd is part of Freetown state forest. My local Xterra club has a run there this Saturday. Absolutely no problems wheeling there, however the terrain isn't very challenging. A lot of deep water holes, especially this time of year. There's also a trail up around "the ledge" which overlooks the old mining quarry there. Supposedly haunted if you believe that sort of stuff. They found a murdered teenager there, tied to a tree. A lot of homeless camps and cult action back in the 80's and 90's.

 

I'm itching to get out in the woods . Still have a lot of work to get done to the truck though .

 

Sounds like a place to check out. Would you say it is stock friendly?

 

I would be down to go... Snow piles are just a tad to high here in NH to get into the trails.

 

Very stock friendly. Again, the water can be deep. If you stay to the outsides of the holes, it's not too bad. There are a couple loops in there to keep you busy. I'd say it's 2 to 3 hours worth of wheeling.

Oh, and don't do anything stupid. There is a ranger station on the premises, and they are oot and aboot from time to time.

These are from our toys for tots run back in December. This is the graffiti ledge that you can walk out onto. It drops off a cliff into the quarry.



And the water. It gets deeper than this. Probably about wheels deep at times.

 

Looks like a good place to do a run. Specially since everything is getting closed

 

Well should we set something up? Seems like we have at least 2-3 trucks that would definitely go as long as scheduling works out.

 

Why yes, yes I think we should! My off weekends--every other one with this next one being one of them. To clarify--off this weekend, off the 19th and 20th, etc....

 

This weekend is out due to Easter. So that leaves 18-19 or 2-3. Any input from others as to what works

 

Either of those should work for me. I should be able to put in my OME kit in by then, running spacers right now...rides like shit but looks good.

I have never been. I will spend some time next week and look into it if no one else has any info on it.
