Not sure brand it was from Ebay. It's a 32" or 30".

Curious. I like buy new rear shocks to my Tacoma. Do I have to measure the compressed height or the full length of the shock? Thinking of getting bilstein shocks. Any input is cherry lol

How much lift you got ? I just put new bilstein on best bang for the buck good for dd trucks. Most people spend big money for top of the line shocks and never come close to useing them for what they were desighned for.

ideally, yes-but for "normal" setups, guestimation is the most common way to go

like above though, what're you running in the rear?

With like 4-5"s of lift(shackle, aal from an 05up) we used 10" bilsteins. My brother had 0-3" bilsteins on the back with just an aal/mixed spring pack and one side broke from over extension.
Ive just measured how it normally sits. Measure it flexed up and how far it might push up and how far it goes down. Id rather go for something that extends farther…can always go with bigger bump stops. So the shock body is usually 3/4 or slightly less of over shock.

took the rambler down waipio, mud lane, threw mana rd, and played hama side and up kohala mntn the last couple days. i wanna go thru skyline again. lol
im looking for 5.29 gears in a 3rd for 79-95 toyota or 5.29 gears for an elocker 3rd(98-04style).

can you post a pic of your setup? if it's 6" you cant use anything stock length, and the length of the shocks depend on the setup

    usually people run 11-13" shocks
