Just got my cool white short bed kit in today and rear window security bar. Very neatly packaged and so far both look like great products. Very pleased with my purchase and Matt's attention to detail when putting all this togethe. Well worth the money. I'll post pictures after install. Thanks Matt, great kit.

Just installed my warm white short bed version! Only took 40 minutes (I timed it :D ).

Matt was VERY easy to work with. He responded quickly and had the kit on it's way before I even sent him payment! The instructions were clear and simple to follow.

The only thing I would add is to be careful about drilling your switch hole too close to the outside of the outlet cubby hole. There is a "wall" on the backside of the cubby hole that the back of the switch will hit if you drill your hole too close to the outside of the cubby. If you feel around underneath the truck, you'll understand what I mean. I had to drill a second hole that was further inside the cubby in order to get the switch to fit.

In any case, let there be light!

Can you make bed lights in red led? I do a lot of hunting and fishing and I would love to have bed lights that didn't kill my night vision and let all the animals in the area im around.
    Thanks.

Perfect thread for the help I need. I bought some LED strip and am getting ready to install but I am a noob with electrical. That being said, I have a few questions. What gauge wire should I use? Should I use a fuse? If I am running from my battery to a switch inside, and then distributing from that to each strip (4-12"strips), what gauge should I run from battery? Also, I see where to cut my LED and the spots to solder, but the spots are under the plastic, so do I just carefully slice that away to get to the solder points?
And any other advice for first time LED strip users?
All help appreciated TW!!! Thanks guys and gals!!!

FINALLY got mine installed this evening. Loving the cool white so far. Still wish I could have gone a dual mode white/red for night vision, but if I need red light, I'll stick with a head lamp.

I have a question for OP. These are an awesome mod but to do the strobe lights and stuff with it do you need the remote to do so or is it included without wireless remote

Without the remote the light only turn on and off.

With the remote the LEDs will: on, off, dim and multiple strobe functions.

Going to want the full set up on a long bed do you have to run the wire all the way from the bed to the battery or how does the wiring harness work? Does it come with at least 20 ft of wire harness? Sorry for all the questions just need to make sure I'm set up for the install
