Does anyone know how to set the mileage on the radio to match the actual mileage on the truck? It is a bit cumbersome to use the mileage reminders when you have to subtract the radio mileage from the truck mileage.

Got my nav installed and I have a question for you guys that have theirs in already... My triangle when Traveling on the display kinda takes a second to update and it's almost like the navigation is dragging. I had a aftermarket in my 4Runner and have a factory nav unit in my mb both were seamless when driving. Is there something I can do reset or some sort of option I have over looked ? Thanks in advance

After PM'ing FLTRUCKS requesting a unit, how long did it take to get a reply? I want one of these units.

No replies until he notify you about a available unit and ask for a PayPal email to send you an invoice, for me took about a month

There is an option to calibrate the gps position but it doesn't calibrate automatically you have to do it manually pointing at your current position. For a 2015 technology this is kind of a antiquated thing but there's nothing more you can do.

How long would you say it took for the GPS signal to register? When I first started it up, the location was set to somewhere in Washington DC. Today when making a quick run to the grocery store (1.5 miles away tops) the Navigation began to update, but I turned off the truck before letting it complete. Now the Location is stuck at the grocery store parking lot, and will not move. I'm concerned my GPS antenna will not recognized my movement... The triangle will now not update, even when using the navigation to a destination. I'm almost positive I plugged it in correctly. Any ideas?

Where did you end up getting your black hazard clock?
Did you hook up the VSS?

The clock I got from ebay, but it's temporary while I get the 12+ with white LED. I already have the 12+ climate controls. Just waiting for some time to install.

What is VSS? You may beat my search..

is a VIN needed only for the apps? where do you find a VIN online? I'm about to purchase a unit and want to make sure i know everything i need to know. if i don't care about the apps can i just install the unit and everything (except apps) including NAV will work?

also, what kind of tool do i need to pop off the current unit and pieces around it?

There is a thread with pictures in the Audio section on removing the stock unit. Made it clear to me and took less than an hour.

Yeah the VIN is used only to make Entune apps work, you can find a VIN in most dealerships website if they post it, this can be from any toyota car that has navigation unit form factory not only from tacomas

I purchased this radio from FL. Should be here in a few days.

Im pretty sure I have everything narrowed down that ill need. The only question i have is for the antenna, I have a 2010 JBL. Ill need the conversion cable for the am/fm antenna as well correct? I already have the 20/28 pin wire harness adapter, aux/usb cable, and usb conversion cable.

Those of you that has this radio installed, when using a usb thumb drive, does the source say USB? Mine says usb when I select it, but shows radio while playing.

Issue resolved! It took some driving for the GPS signal to register, but now works well with a little calibration. Very happy with this unit and meets my needs! I went from a 2007 - 2014 OEM Nav Unit complete retrofit that included:

    • New OEM Entune Nav Unit (March 2015)
    • New 12+ OEM Upper Dash Bezel
    • New OEM Lower Dash Panel with USB/AUX inputs
    • New OEM Center Console (Painted Black)

Waiting to receive or find time to install the following pieces to be complete:
    • New OEM Bluetooth Phone/Voice Steering Wheel Controls
    • 12+ OEM Hazard / Clock Assembly (Black & White LED backlight)
    • 12+ Climate Controls (Black & White LED backlighting)

Perhaps later this year I will tackle the OEM back-up camera. Definitely something I want to add!

Paid mine yesterday as well. I'm still deciding on whether to redo my steering wheel controls.

Is there no way to access voice commands on the unit itself?
