Am I tired or does that front end look like an Isuzu Amigo?

That's because they have our tax money to play with. The idea behind special forces using Toyotas is to fit in, not be noticed and have parts availability. If the countries they worked in had a plethora of Rangers, you would see them in the special forces as well.

Actually, I'm currently driving the Tacoma I really wanted. Until Toyota makes something that looks better, gets 50% better MPG and has 50% more hp/tq with a factory s/c or turbo option I'm good to stay right where I am as my truck w/40k miles is barely even broken in and paid for.

The Cummins ISB4.5 is an in-line 4 cylinder engine that was designed for Light to Medium-Wheeled and Light-Tracked Armored Vehicles. This hard working engine provides up to 250 HP and up to 600 lb-ft of torque.

I hope those will be there in surplus ..... I want one and I want one right now :D

BTW anybody realized back bed is from Toyota pickup.
Front looks like 95.5 Toyota with different grill.

Think they took an early 2000's Hilux and just dropped a different drive train in it.

The 7th gen Hilux has a 3.0 diesel l4 turbo w/innercooler (placed under a Sport type hood scoop, making it functional!)

While it does not have the power #s you show factory, it's not difficult to crank up the boost on a diesel.

2005 3.0 L diesel D-4D DOHC I4, Turbodiesel, commonrail 16-valve direct injection, 121 kW (165 PS; 162 hp) (Asia, South Africa, South America, Australia, Europe). This version is made at Toyota's facility in Zárate, Argentina.

    The one I use in Guatemala is a 4wd 5spd 4 door.
