To fish you will need to purchase an out-of-state license; 1-3day pass - $34.70

Idk about guns, maybe Murph or Jay will chime in

What do you wanna know? Theres not any place to shoot at Rausch. As far as having a fire arm on you, if you have a carrying permit, there are a lot of resources to see if PA reciprocates

Ryan you may want to check out approved trout waters in the area and look them up on a map to see how far it is from rausch. U can use the interactive map on the fish commission website. I use it all the time for class A waters. It's kinda annoying but it works.

Looks like deep creek and pine creek are the closest approved trout waters. I'm not 100% sure on the location or rausch so don't quote me on that. Also make sure you can fish there. Not sure where the cutoff line is for the April 4 or 18 openers. I have to wait till the 18 to hit any stocked streams.

you will also need a trout stamp for certain areas in addition to the out of state pass, i found that out when planning a boy scout troop camping/fishing trip up to deep creek

Gotcha. I was just wondering whether or not to pack for fishing and/or shooting. Sounds like there is no need.

I'll probably be able to get there during daylight Friday. I'll "WFH" and pack some shit up last minute. Maybe drop by Centralia on the way up if I can.

Sounds good. I went last year with Josh and Mike after the Yuengling brewery tour. We hit up the destroyed highway and the steep climb to the graveyard from the highway as well as some short trails on the otherside. it was raining like a motherfucker so we didn't check out much more. It looks like it may be tstorming Friday, which if that's the case it's not worth going up there early for.

If I leave my place at 3 I should be able to get to Centralia by 5:30 and catch a little daylight. When does it get dark again? Like 6:30?
