Aftermarket Tail lights

Anybody got these on?

 

yup i got um on mine! love them! only drawback id say is that they kinda pricey and the blinker is a regular bulb. but other than that they look really good and especially good at night. i'll try post a pic later today

 

Those look nice. Seems like a more true red, instead of the pink/cherry stock color

 

Those have a little too much red for me. If you want something with more black look into the depo tail lights.

 

I wonder how would the blinker look if it had a white led bulb. Would it just make the red tint more brighter?

 

Yeah most likely. its a pretty deep red like Bass Master said. I kind of wish i had gotten the smoked one cuz now my truck looks red white and blue haha but ive grown to like it.

 

Yea kinda debating if I should get the smoke or non-smoke or buy both!

 

ive seen both and they both look really good. honestly if i could afford it id buy both haha. the smoked ones aren't ridiculously smoked, just real light. on your black x runner, i think smoked would match but the red and clear would def pop more. also i guess it depends what your going for, like if you going to murder out your truck, id go with the smoked.

 

I should go with the smoke one, then if I have enough I would get the pure red and clears. I've actually seen a black x runner with the smoke ones, right across from my friends house and it matches, with the plasti dip stock rims.

 

had the smoked ones. loved them and never had a problem.

The rule of thumb for LEDs in behind colored lenses is to use the proper color LED. So if the lens is red, the LED color needs to be red. Apparently if you get a white LED bulb, the whiteness will show through the red lens. Not really sure how/why, but that's just what I've always been told. Get red for red.

Nah....The black Depo tail lights look just like stock but without the chrome around the LEDs and the "red chrome"

you could get the red/clear ones and just night shade um and if you absolutely hate it just take it off. im debating if i wanna do that to mine

and don't forget doing the tails will lead to 3rd brake light needing some attention too.........this one was on the 05 - barely see it in pic above

I love old school toyotas! NICE! IDK about the third brake light, but it's somehow interesting.
