I have a short in the part #82141-04570 - INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRING harness and don't want to spend $1700 - $2300 for a new one.
    Can anyone help with suggestions?

The only way to find a short is to trace each and every cable. Its pain but for the price of new harness you should try it. Do you know what part short is related too ?

Yeah, the air bag and my radio, keyless entry, and in. Lights don't work when the airbag light is on. The code is 32 which is the occupant system and that's where I started my search and ended at the pass. Kick panel where I traced the pink wire to the harness I listed above.
This is my only vehicle so down time is a no go, have to do it all at one time. Now that is poop. Lol

Will the clock spring give high ohms in 1 of the wires?
Because I traced the wires from the occupant ecu to close to the ecm and found the solid pink wire to have 1.80 ohms where everything else was a flat 0.00.

I'll look for the pink wire near the wheel and test the ohms and see if that could be it but I have to find time.

I hope its the clock spring as that will be a hell of alot easier then ripping into the dash to find that out.

I'll check tomorrow if my truck is part of the recall

I am part of the clock spring recall so I will be getting that done sooner then later.
But that isn't my problem, I checked all that out this morning an it is my gauge cluster that is the problem.
The cluster has 2 plugs and the pink wire goes in one plug then out the other.
The wire going in had 0.00 ohm so I tried the wire at the other plug and it has... Wait for it... 1.80 ohms.
The same as I read before going to the ecm.
So now that I found my problem, I need to find out if anyone can program the one I get with my current miles.
