I can't let the wife know
I bought used SPC upper control arms for my 06 Tacoma. The previous owner had them on a 07 FJ. I thought the whole front suspension is interchangeable between the taco and fj. I guess I don't spend enough time here. I currently run 5100 with fj coils so in my head I thought the UCA would be a match. I tried installing them but I'm left with a gap between the frame mount and the UCA itself. Now, I'm not sure if a washer is suppose to go in between this. I found a video on YOUTUBE were they install SPC arms, and no washer is being used between the inner part of the arm to the frame. I look at websites that sell the SPC kit and in some 4 washers are pictured , and look like they are included with the kit. Do I have hope on installing these? or they are strictly for the FJ?

This the passenger side. You can see a little bit of the screw popping out before I pushed it through.

Shok Industries 2/0 big 4 upgrade and sound deadener.
SPC website lists 25470 for the Tacoma UCAs and 25480 for the FJ. You might be able to throw spacers in there but I would try to get a refund or resell those and buy the right ones.

So the older style did have a washer in between? These were bought in 2014. I don't think I want to risk it but will keep my ear open if any one has an answer for me.

SPC was contacted. I was missing the inner washer. This style had a lot of failures. I asked if they would replace at no cost ( fingers crossed) and they told me no because their wasn't a recall. Only $25 for new style bushing. These uca are only for the FJ and 4runner. SPC said it wouldn't fit the Tacoma. Bought new uca and they are identical to these.

Did you have any problems with the ball joints. I got sent the right arms but wrong ball joints and they didn't seat properly.
