Noel, I'm not from Maine and am north of the Mason-Dixon line... I will not be molesting my truck like that.
Yep. Some tuners do actually offer their own powertrain warranties. 5 Star tuning offers a 5 yr 60k mile warranty for an additional $500, and a 6 yr 100k mile warranty for $1,000. That warranty covers $20k worth of parts and labor if you're running their tune and the dealership denies you coverage stating the tune being the cause. That effectively doubles or triples the price and, if you do have a problem, I'd imagine you'd be like a kid stuck between mom and dad while 5 Star and Ford argue and come to an agreement of who's really at fault.
Surprisingly, no. I can't find diddly from Ford Racing for the F150. They sell an exhaust kit but it's just a rebranded Borla. Otherwise, nada. I'm actually shocked since the 5.0 has been their trademark Mustang engine for how long now?

Doesn't look that bad in person. Maybe the parking lot was adding to it.

I had two ECUs for my car, so I could just swap them if needed.

I didn't know GM did that. I know there's not as open about their ECUs, which is why Ford and Dodge usually have more options to play with when using a DIY flasher.

Mike didn't Roush have hopped up F150's a while ago? If so don't they or Saleen offer anything since they are so tied in with the factory?

Hey, we don't do that here either. Around here it's the 'fake true duals out the back' that's the big thing to do. Single inlet/Dual outlet Flowmasters are the most popular.
That and the "Pothole" mod, where you've got no exhaust from the cat back because you ripped it off on a shitty road. That one's pretty popular too.

I'm not really because while the engine has been around forever, so much has changed such as emissions regs and how the computers really do the job. I remember the good old days when you could toss a Hypertech at most anything and have a blast.

Roush offers an exhaust, air intake, supercharger and some other goodies but i haven't found any tuning from them, at least not for the 5.0. Unfortunately, they seem to be more interested in the Raptor. Apparently, Ford Racing used to offer a tune for the 5.0 Mustang, but i cann't find anything for the F150. Roush does make a complete f150 thsts done over and it is tuned.

Does anyone know if the fuel door in adjustable? It's been rubbing the inside for a while, but today I had trouble opening it.

Could be pushed in slightly. I don't think I would have done it though. Only adjustment I've made before is to the prongs, hoping it would stop popping open when I hit bumps.

Yea check the hinge. It could be the angle of the stamped piece the attaches to the door.

Mine sometimes pops open but it is the plastic cap retainer(not sure what to call it) Rotated the wrong way putting pressure on the door acting like a spring causing it to pop open.

    Woot, finally ordered my lift!

Went cross-eyed on rear 5100 vs. 5125 running an Icon 1.5 AAL / TSB. Ended up going with the 5100 since I don't plan on flexing the suspension all that much, if at all. I might go drive around in the Freetown state forest and hit the beach, but I don't plan on crawling or anything, at least with the truck still being basically scratch free.

I'm cribbing Pugga's setup exactly, and it was his posts about running the regular length 5100s that sold me. I'm going brave and doing 0.85 up front with the Eibachs though. Thanks, Mike!
