Im on 265/75/16 currently on stock gears, maybe 4.10s?

I would only regear with 35s to 4.88

    Pretty easy.

    1. Unbolt the axles, disconnect the e-brake cable at the bell crank, unplug the abs sensor (if you have one) then pull the the hub/axle out a few inches and put a deep socket to hold them out.

    2. Unbolt the drive shaft and support it with a rope or cord

    3. Unbolt the 3rd and pull it out. Carefully, it is heavy.

Pop the new 3rd in and do 3-2-1.

Figured that was a given. Same reason why I didn't mention wrenches.

You would regret not going 5.29s first, kind of like going glass without LT.

I have full glass and no LT. haha :D

My old fenders and liners were getting tore up.

And 5.29 are weak as hell compared to 4.88, I would break them.

But the largest ill go without a new motor and SC is 33 anyways.

I was thinking about going 4.56 from 4.10's and at the moment I'm running on 265/70 R16's I figured swap the gears out for better acceleration and ease on engine. Plus incase I decide I want 35's. But the way you all make it sound like a nightmare I'll pass

you just gotta get a built 3rd member from east coast gear supply.. Then it's pretty ez. Just really expensive.

I did my own. Was a huge task. And not easy and at times very not fun. Did kinda a write up on it. I'll try and get a link.

No they aren't. This is a miss conception. They are not weaker.

Or go to a junkyard and find them out of an automatic 3.4. If I did that I'd probably open them just to check them out and add fresh gear oil. But I'll see how 4.10s act before I go change them out.

If you mean 4.56 it's the 2.7 auto 4x4 that has them... which wouldn't fit if you have a TRD with an e-locker.
