Oh, I forgot to mention that the mount does have to sit that far back because the radius curve on the support bar will not let it be any farther out then I have it.

Interested in seeing this solution. Its the only part I dislike, even though its not that hard to do.

Picked up my Autana Sky today from Jerry, got to get somewhat familiar with it during the unboxing, no good pics yet just a shot from my driveway as I had to go straight to work after getting back. So excited to use this thing!

Actually, I have a question already haha, so I have the "SKY" model, but it appears I have to remove the rain fly in order to use the sky function, I took a quick look and it seems to be all attached to the aluminum frame, how big of a pain in the ass is it to remove the rain fly top?

I believe those rods are meant to hold just the rainfly and that opening should roll up like the mesh, at least thats how mine is. Should have 2 "T" clips and the top of the opening. But I can't believe its that big of a pain since its a popular model. Adam will be able to tell you though for sure

You don't need to remove the rainfly to use the sky windows. Those straps at the upper corners of the tent that hold the rainfly have clips. Unclip those, and pull the rainfly bows out of their pockets and roll the rainfly to the centerline of the roof. You can do one side or both. The nice thing about doing it this way is that you can put the rainfly back in place without leaving the tent. Just open the roof and roll it back into place and clip the straps.

Ha, I just noticed your lady friend is in there. Have a similar pic with the wifey in the tent. Only time she has ever been in it

Mine literally didn't want to leave, she asked if we could sleep in it tonight!

Thanks Adam, perfect explanation I get it now!

ThAnks dude! Check out the build thread

Haha yeah I read the manual after I set that up and realized my mistake! We will have to get together when you make the move down here

    Thanks!!

On a side note I want to get the condensation mat, website says it's sold out though. How necessary is it?

I think they'll be back in stock mid-May from what I'm hearing. They are a nice addition to the standard tents. I used my standard Autana for a long time with no mat. I'd get some condensation between the floor and the mattress after chilly nights. Regardless of having the mat or not, I usually will set up the tent and let it air out after I get home from a trip. When I had my standard Autana I would pull the mattress out of the tent while I was airing it out and make sure it was dry and aired out before putting it back inside the tent for storage.

So the mat isn't "necessary" but they are nice to have.
