The Tacoma stayed home while I took the Cruiser and trailer down to Moab over the weekend. No wheeling this trip. But repping Tepui at Gearheads on Main Street.

Edit: I take that back, I guess I did get a bit of wheeling in on the drive down.

To all the 3rz guys. I have a 97 and I'm installing 04 exhaust manifold. The transmish dip stick mount won't reach the block anymore and is rubbing against the manifold..?? Anyone else have this problem/solution??

I actually couldn't cut it, didn't feel like whippin out the grinder. I ended up bending it over to another bolt that was near by and completely out of the way.

Can you put the maps light by the rear view mirrior in a 99 tacoma and just splice it off the stock light in the cab.

That might not work. Before it was mounted to the engine and moved with it, now when the engine moves the brace won't. That may put a lot of strain on the dipstick tube.

When I upgraded the exhaust manifold, I solved this issue by purchasing a new tranny tube/bracket from an 01-04. A little more money, but it looks stock.

Yeah. It's been leaking for a while. But after our trip it's been puking all over the driveway. So it's ones of those things where you might as well replace stuff while you're in there.
