I am looking at buying a 3 inch front lift and 1 inch rear lift. My buddy has a 3 inch front and 2 inch rear. I went to Savannah tire and the salesmen said I needed a 1 inch rear bc of rollover hazard.. is this true or was he trying to upsell? Any ideas on the best lift for me? I really want it for style but I always want to be safe! Thanks

I don't know what that guy is talking about, rollover hazard??

There is a ton of questions you need to ask yourself before you go down this road. How much $$$ you want to spend, what kind of ride quality do you want, percentage of off roading you will be doing?

Normally I would say he is pushing product but he only said you needed 1 inch less of spacer in the rear... To me that's almost downselling. If he said something like you needed a certain product he had in stock then I would say forget him, but he may legitimately be trying to be safe, perhaps a previous accident?

Either way, you'll be fine lifting the rear. There are guys here that lift the rear 5 inches.

Never heard of the rollover issue and I did tons of research before pulling the trigger on my lift. It all depends on how you plan to use the truck and how much you are willing to spend.

We can't recommend a lift until we know what you do with the truck and what your budget is. Once that's out of the way, the hard parts done. Lol

Thanks for all the replies. I think he was trying to pull one on me because he was also trying to get me to buy a bigger rim size... I think ill go with the two inch lift, nothing too big because I honestly just wanted bigger tires! Thanks for all the answers!!

Kourtny, you have a prerunner, so you have the option of a spindle lift. Look into this option and question folks who have them. You can go WAY up on a 2wd really easily and run any size tire your heart desires.
