    Probably because of the added bracket:notsure:

    Username went to race seats and came out about 50 lbs lighter or so. But he ditched all of the adjusters and just solid mounted both seats.

    Might have to start skipping every other leg day. :laugh:

    Correct. That Planted bracket, necessary to bolt the seat to the truck, whether with a slight or side mounts, is about 11 lbs. The OEM seats do not have such a bracket, as the mounts are tabs welded to the ends of the oem sliders. If I swapped for a set of side mounts, it would pull off some weight. Swapping to a side mounted full race seat would also knock off about 15 lbs. Currently, I still wanted some creature comforts, as well as added bolstering. Which was not available with the current seats. The next seat will be pure race.

    Thanks Large! No matter how good it looks though, I need to get some seat time with it. Just sitting in it, itis clear that I am situated a little differently than before. While cruising, I usually sit a notch or two further back than I do while racing. I have already found that this seat doesn't get as close as the OEM seat can. Close, but not as much. It also feels like I am seated a little lower in the truck. So those two new aspects will take a little getting used to.

    Today has been a great day. Despite my wretched sickness. Picked the truck up from www.Kozmicmotorsports.com.

    Was a frustrating tuning session of three days. Accomplished. 396 whp and 472 wtq (once corrected from their Mustang dyno to DynoJet) @ ~7 psi. Very pleased. Had a lot of hurdles to overcome during the process, but Eric's diligence persevered. Race day tomorrow is a GO. :woot:

    Let's just say that it was a very long roll-over day from Friday night. We all slept very little. Some less than others. Prepping to finish up vehicles until ~2:30 AM Saturday, when we had to be back up by 5AM to head out for a day's worth of racing.

    Lucario Runner, Grumpy, and Jeff all had a pretty good event. My day however, consisted of about three full laps, before I was waived off track due to my truck smoking. Was just starting to fell comfortable with all of the new changes, and it was cut short. I planned on getting video in the later sessions, once I started feeling more comfortable with the truck, so I have none of that either. Ends up that there is an oil leak, on the passenger side of the engine, but we have yet to start looking into things.

    I have some ideas about where it might be from, but am not sure yet.
