Yeah curiosity is getting me too.

My guess is you're right - OP won't be coming back to this thread after all the crap everyone gave him. But then again he did take it all in stride.

    Good luck OP.

Fairly certain I saw you driving by the other day in Motor City when I was looking at a Jeep out of curiosity haha

I stayed out of this thread while he was working on the truck because like was said, it was his money to do what he wanted with it. But it was clear as day this was coming. Young guy who admitted that he ran through cars like crazy, but all of a sudden this was going to be the one that he had forever? No way. I totally agree that he probably finally had decent money, and decided to blow it all.

Money management didn't seem to be strong either. He even made a comment in one of the posts to the effect of "it's just money, can't take it with you when you go." Not indicative of someone with strong financial sense. Sad to see it happen, but the writing was on the wall.

Here's the CL ad: http://cosprings.craigslist.org/cto/4965310433.html. It says he paid $44,000 FOR THE TRUCK, without the mods. WOW.

It doesn't matter if you spend 6K on saran wrap, stickers, armor, suspension, or even a S/C... you aren't likely going to get your money back on anything you add to a truck.

You can get 70% of your ROI if you part out and sit on it for a while, I don't think you can take that wrap off and resell it for $5 though..

True story. Sucks putting in the effort to take the stuff off and have it sitting in the garage though. I'm sure if you figured out the labour you spent doing it the numbers wouldn't be so good. Then again money is money. I kept most of my stock parts too so one day I can roll some of the truck back and recoup some costs.

That wrap is a one time deal. Honestly it'll tear at some point offroad and they you have to pay good money to have it redone or just scrap it. Not a real value adder to most people.

He wants 41 grand for a used truck. I'm sure Craiglist and eBay are just teaming w ppl who will stroke out that check.

   .

I figure he could get $34K for it. That's good black book for the truck and there are guys looking for TRD Pro's. Not many but they are out there. Just look at how many people found his ad on here lol.

    nothing cool
It is a good looking truck. The phrase " price is firm" scare all CL people away. Everyone likes to haggle a good deal.

Edit: on a side note Id love to have a TRD Pro Black or White ( orange is not my favorite). Even though i know its completely overpriced Tacoma I still kinda would want one. But lets say the OP's was black (which I'd really want). Theres no way id spend that $$$ on a used one when you can get a brand new one for that price.
