    I want to replace my timing bet, water pump, and tstat also. Just been dreading the work. Debating between doing it myself or just paying a shop. Never did timing belt on a V6 before.

    OME 882s, OME shocks all around and OME Dakar spring packs, ARB, Warn 8000, ARE shell, Custom rear bumper w/ reciever, 5-235/80R17 Cooper Discoverer ST MAXX on FJ wheels, grey wire mod, Hi-Lift, Hellas, Red-Line hood lifters, Scion radio, sliders, Safari snorkel & LED Ditch lights on CBI mounts.
    The timing belt/water pump isn't very hard, just takes some time. I've done 3 :D
    There are write-ups on it with photos.
    Also, I have the recommended timing belt tensioner tool if anyone would want to borrow it, understanding that I want it back.

    I read a few write ups on it and people say its prob a 3hr job. But with my luck and all the problems I am sure to encounter I think itll be a 8hr job. LOL.

    Is the tensioner tool and the crank pulley tool required? I have air tools at home so was thinking of taking out the radiator and using an impact gun if that would work.

    Drop bracket lift and booger welds
    IIRC you need the tensioner tool to keep the thing from spinning. Would def take you up in borrowing a tool.

    You might be able to get the crank off without the tool but you still need a way to torque it down. I just replaced the tensioner since I was in there anyway. If you don't replace it you can take it out and use a vice to press it back in.
