I thought there was a new one sticker policy of some sort?

We're already down to one on all of our vehicles. You can scrape your inspection sticker off, DPS isn't concerned with when it expires, just as long as it is inspected prior to renewal of the registration.

So we're talking about just the blue and white sticker now?

Hmm I have mine for 2016 now but they didn't inspect anything, got it from Toyota. Or was it heb, already forgot.

I just did my registration in February and my inspection doesn't expire until November. So I get an extra three months :woot:

Now they are going to one sticker to save money, but when are they going to make the transition to not requiring a front license plate? That would save more money than stickers I would think.

The one sticker has more to do fraud than a money savings, the tags would make sense, therefore it will never happen.

Do you guys know for sure when the cutoff date is when you're no longer required inspection? I have a 1995 with a light on and my inspection is due..... ugh

    Pretty sure it's the cat.....

So if my inspection is due... I don't have to get it renewed till registration is up?

You just go get it inspected and they give you a paper that says you passed and that's it

That's my understanding. 60 days before registration deadline, then it gets into the "system" and you can renew your registration.

My fronts been off since I pulled off the dealership to my driveway. No problems here
Maybe dfw is more strict on that than SA?

I've had my plate on since I swapped to the CBI bumper. Haven't had any problems.

I ran with no front plate for a few years on the old truck but ended up putting it back on. I don't think most cops care unless they see or suspect you are doing something illegal and the front plate is all they can technically get you on.

I did see a silver Tacoma yesterday on 20 in Fort Worth. 4 door with a small lift and a Pelfry or CBI front bumper and a dirt bike in the bed. Tried getting a pic but no luck.

I dont have a front plate either. I just think its a pointless waste of money, especially since so many people refuse to mount them. Toll booths scan the rear only, so I don't see another reason why to have a front
