I chose the tacoma instead of the other ones, including jeep, ford, Nissan, chevy, because I think I realized a little bit that they all had high miles like the Tacomas I was looking at, but knew they were gonna shit out a lot quicker. Next time around is in 4 years or so.

I'm also curious about the clear tint that help with heat dissipation. And good advice, ArmorAll products are mostly terrible to use on a vehicle. They "feed" the plastics and fade them faster than others

If I had your truck it'd definitely be the gray/anthracite level 8 mk6s, not black. Then plastidip the badges anthracite to match as well as the grille badge or add it to the satoshi'd grille somehow

Indeed. But they are kinda annoying idk. I may remove them and paint and clear coat them so I can not worry about getting wax on them. The tailgate is definitely getting some debadge action...wayyy too many badges on there. I'm thinking of leaving just the "TACOMA" and SR5 on there or SR5 V6, not sure yet

I like the tailgate badges. I would debadge if i was silver or white.

I just don't want to part with my V6 badge. Its a badge of honor. I paid the premium, i have the best.

Surprising, I'd figure most would remove the "prerunner" badge :p

I think black badges on a white or silver truck look really good

Nope silver and FJ silver is extremely light
    That's a deal!!
I think you made a good choice. These trucks aren't made of gold but they sure are dependable.
I do like that truck. I don't think you can go wrong with whatever you choose.
I wonder if I should put anthracite badges on mine. anthracite with red.

I bought mine debadged but I didn't even realize that would be a problem during wax...

Yep, if I hadn't taken a welding class i would have to hire it built, but I have the skills and access to a welder to build it myself.
If I had a plasma cutter and access to the materials I would design my own.

I want to build my own stuff but all I can do is weld, I don't know anyone with other cutting tools except a family friend who I would need to pay. I still plan to make it work somehow though

At least you can weld, tons of people don't know how to weld.
We do have a cutting torch but it's a pain to use compared to the plasma cutter.

Well I technically know how. I also have a close friend who does it for a living who can help me if I need to. What I should actually say is I learned 4 years ago in high school and I don't think I've forgotten much. I'm sure a days worth of rods and scrap metal would have me rolling again.

And yes, I clearly remember the vast difference between the torch and the cutter. I loved the cutter
