not sure if you have discount tire in Denver. They reset my tpms and assigned the new rim sensors to the vehicle for free. They plug into your ob2 plug and hold the device to each tires valve stem.

Mine are for sure silver. Do you think that discount tires scanner might just not be able to see the ones in the trd wheels

No Go.. Firestone said they couldn't detect 3 sensors but blamed the issues on the scanner not being updated since 2013 .. any idea what ones i can order to work with the 2015 Tacoma?

I bought bronze ones off Craigslist with barely used BFG snow tires mounted and balanced, with TPMS, and lugs for $1200 last year.

I think the wheels alone are almost $1800 CDN from the dealer.

No. it didn't. The ECU only has room for 4 sensors (or maybe 5 if the spare has one?)

But a buddy at work had bought a scanner tool and quickset tool that he lends me 2x per year to switch it out. Piece of Cake. I think he got it online for like a $100.

Hooks up to a PC. You scan each wheel, connect to PC, it logs the #s. Then connect the quickset, click upload to device, then connect to truck ECU.

    Its a pretty simple product.

Possibly. Perhaps the sensors were damaged at some point.

They do have a battery that could have failed. I don't know the cost of replacing the battery versus a new sensor though.
