    Hello Group,

I'm having my 2 month old LCA's (OEM part & dealer installed) replaced under warranty due to excessive play. Also, I was just notified that my UCA bushings are bad as well. The Master Tech & the Manager suggested that I go with polyurethane bushings.

    They will warranty the LCA's,
Install the bushings that I supply in the new LCA's,
Install the bushings that I supply in my current UCA's
All I pay is the labor for the UCA bushings.

I have 6 month old MOOG Upper ball joints so I don't need new ones. I also have new UCA bolts so they can cut the old ones & then install the new bolts in the opposite direction so I don't have to worry about them bending the sheetmetal while trying to take out the old bolts.

They are currently working on the price.

I like the red bushings but the black ones are self lubricating so I'll most likely go with the black ones.

Any care to share their experience with either of these?

    Thank You!

I like OEM. Toyota spent a lot of time and money engineering the OEM parts.

I agree with you and it's my normal choice but this was their recommendation. Let's see how it goes. I'll keep you all posted. It looks like I'll be going with the black ones.

You know what parts Toyota doesn't warranty? Those black bushings.

If your spending the money out of packet for the bushings and for the install labor it just makes sense to get the OEM parts and get the full warranty.

The uppers went because the lowers went due to the incorrect install of the lowers by the dealer. I would push for them to cover it all. If they won't than get the OEM parts cause if they F up the install again you will be eating the parts and labor again.
