Happy Easter Tony, I got out for a little snow ride today. A dodge diesel came up behind me and I let him around. I had to laugh. I made it up about 100 yards on the road until I chicken out in the snow. Being by my self and all I decided not to chance it. So he went around me and made it about 20 feet in front of me and that was it. He spent about 5 minutes trying and finally gave up. So I had to give it a try. I made it about 150 yards up this time. When I backed down he said "well I gotta go" I just laughed and said see ya later.

diesels are horrible for snow wheeling. Weight too much. solid axle isn't in their favor either.

I was driving through Bozeman today and I saw a silver 2nd gen access cab, lifted with front and rear plate bumpers. It had black fender flares and a tire gate on the rear bumper with jerry can holders. I'm pretty sure it had the black 6 spoke TRD FJ wheels. It also had a matching silver cap with 2 Thule cross bars on it and a single Thule cross bar on the cab with a wind deflector. Didn't have time to snap a pic but if you know who's truck this might be I'd love to check out their build thread if they have one!

There's a guy who lives just up the street from me, has a 98-00 tacoma with what looks like an elite front bumper, slight lift, and some URD stickers in the windows. If im not mistaken it kinda sounds like he has a S/C as well. Everytime he drives by I kinda stare at his truck and he stares at my runner. Guess I should go meet the guy and tell him about here.

They're very rarely around. I only see them once or twice a year in passing. They used to show up for the cruisin on main car show in bozeman in august. not sure that they'll be around for that as they are starting a new trek next week.

X2. Started out great. Got wrapped up in sponsorships and other crap. Ruined it. Watch two of the new ones and was done after watching 20 min commercials.

That said they are cool dudes. I've chatted with clay several times. Would love to meet them still but just because they are good people and like the outdoors. Not so much because or xoverland.

Their videos are what got me to look into overlanding. I agree the first couple videos were really good but fell off after. I have watched all of them and learned a LOT of information. Which I used to search out more. But I still would like to see their rigs and see how exactly they have things set up. I am planning on going to Flagstaff in May for the Overland expo. I think it would be very interesting to see how different folks have their rigs set up. But that's just me. I guess I ask to many questions and still feel pretty far behind

Seeing people's setups is always fun. Never too many questions either. Unless your ben. But he's an askhole.
