I almost got a RCSB Sport Tundra w/5.7L option to strap a supercharger to. Even sans supercharger those things are lightning quick in the quarter mile (I seem to recall mid to low 13's) out of the box for like $26k. Decided I wanted the rear area though and was tired of full size trucks, even regular cab. The rest is history but I still have a special place in my heart for trucks like your buddy's.

I think a lot depends on the vehicle. The latest Car & Driver tasted a Ford F-150 XLT Supercab 4x4, with a 2.7 liter Eco boost. Yes.....two point seven liters. 0-60 5.7, and 1/4 mile in 14.3 @ 95 mph, bone stock. They said the best time was with the truck in 4 hi range. Now...2.7 LITERS!!?? And a low 14 second 1/4??!! Gone are the days of a "fast" truck breaking into the 14's I guess, since a stock F-150 is doing this with their mid tier engine.

That's pretty impressive for a truck of that size and motor  That'll spank more then half of the cars on the road right there from stock! Now if Ford can only make the Eco boost motor reliable  Reading the posts of owners on the Ford forums makes me hold off any idea about getting a Eco boost anytime soon. :(

Miss my 2001 GMC Sierra v8 and all 0 to 60 in 4.67 seconds no supercharger just good gearing standing mile topped out at 123mph. Now I drive a Taco with ½ the cylinders and ½ the displacement.

LOL!! Yeah, I wouldn't gamble on its reliability.

FWIW, There are a bunch of guys on the Jeep forums running SC's on their new JK's, and turning 14's and lower. One dude, on 37's, ran a 14.3!

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
Op, nice truck, nice run

Even in 4hi, there appears you still have some wheel hop on the launch and as you shift to 2nd. You have a track bar? If not, Im sure you can shave a few 10th's off that time with one.

No traction bars. I just ran it for kicks. My goal was to run a 14. My prediction was 14.80s so I was stoked to run a couple tenths quicker.

Looking at my timeslip from the first round of eliminations posted below. I think I woulda ran a high 14.50 if I didn't let off and hit the brakes in the lights.
