Really depends on county for issuance. Some are nazi's, some are giving them out like candy. I got mine after a couple weeks. Applied, initial interview, backgrounds, training, and final issuance. Granted my interviews/background were quick due to military background. Also that I live in Sac County. It was pretty easy. I grew up in CoCo County where they are unheard of, as parts of CA can be, unfortunately.

Had a really weird dream. Gotta write it down before I forget. I was in a school and there was a planned out attack on it. Bunch of people pulled out guns at a party and started killing people. Police came, hostages getting killed, pretty brutal and weird dream. So I was in this chair sitting with another hostage. She wasn't about to do shit to survive. As soon as I saw my chane I took it. I was being guarded by a girl with a handgun and a shotgun. She had the handgun in her hand, she bent down to do aomething and she was also scratching her face with the gun. I was close enough to reach overgopnofnher hand he pull the trigger. They was pretty much my key to freedom. I grabbed the gun and shot out the windows, and ran like hell! The police weren't in sight so I assumed they got pushed back by the terrorists. I'm pretty sure I made it, because the dream ended. Either that or I died by a shooter on the roof. Weird dream. Actually maybe more of a nightmare.

And with the Peruta case back to the full panel of judges, OC has reverted to their old guidelines of "probably won't issue".

Im just glad to be in San Bernardino County. I went in with a decent GC and after reading it the detective said "so personal protection" so i agreed because basically thats what it boiled down too. He asked if i carried large amounts of cash to which i replied only normal cash in my wallet but nothing large. He then looks at his paperwork and says "ok so personal protection, you carry lots of cash, and you live in a bad area" as he's checking off boxes lol. So even though my neighborhood isnt even sketch and i dont carry more than maybe $20 bucks on me he was happy to write down whatever it takes to justify the approval. I felt that they want to give them out more than anything. It was a great experience.

So yah for those in Cali it really depends on you county and partially who your investigator is too

Don't leave the holster in extreme heat too long. The als retention can deform and lock your gun in the holster

Read about that, I'll keep an eye on it when summer rolls around, I don't think it'll be an issue though.

Got my Beretta 92A1 back from Wilson Combat after a 7 month wait. I had them throw everything they offer into it.

Converted safety to a G configuration (de-cock only)
    Checkered frame
    Beveled magazine well
    Oversize mag release button
    Single side de-cock lever
    Dehorned the whole gun
    Elite II hammer
    Short reach trigger
Action tune 7 lbs DA 3.5 SA
    VZ grips
    Fluted recoil spring rod
Fiber optic front sight with a plain serrated rear
Finished in their gun cote coating

Just ran a couple mags through it and this thing is a dream to shoot. Well worth the money and wait time.

Hey everybody, it's been awhile since I jumped on here. I am looking to get a new hunting rifle soon, and I have decided on a Thompson Venture in .308. It might be a bit heavy of a round for deer, or even elk, but ammo is cheaper than .270, and accuracy seems to be better from .308 than .270. My big problem now is deciding on a scope to mount on top. I am looking for advice on a good scope for $200 or less.

I am new to hunting, tried google and searching on here, but that leads to scopes for sale, or reviews but nothing as to what will be good for me. Just looking on one site, I see 1" tube vs 30mm tube. I would like a scope that when I am better at this will still be a good scope, not necessarily something I want to replace again because it is crap. I also know to get good mounts and rings, but those will be based on scope. Thanks for help on this

I would also accept being directed to a better forum if there is one on here

I am bias and love .308, prob my fav all around. I have killed elk an antelope or 2 and even a coyote or 100 with one. It is a great caliber imo and can be loaded 100's of ways for your pleasure.
As far as scopes on a budget? I like Nikon. If you have to save an extra month for a decent scope, do it. Do not ruin your shooting/hunting experience with cheap glass.

Yeah, shooting this compared to a stock M9/92 series is incredible. I think the stock Beretta's are very nice as is. This has just been refined. My only real gripe with them is I don't see the point in a safety on a DA/SA gun. That's why I had them make it a G de-cocker.

I've liked these guns since I saw Die Hard and Lethal Weapon, as well as pretty much every John Wu film. Just a very sleek looking pistol.

This makes my Glock 19 seem like a cheap piece of crap. And I love that thing too.
