Sit down, Sons...

...I had a Husky. For the first 5 years of his life I'd wager he was pound-for-pound the most destructive dog as well as the pound-for-pound most prolific shedder.

Put it this way.... I tried crate training him and he ended up destroying a crate that was "indestructible." When I returned it to the store under warranty they claimed they had never, ever, had seen anything like it. Never had a single return, ever.

Four days later I dragged in the mangled scraps of the replacement crate.

 

That's too funny. Should have taken a pic with the dog and the kennel haha!! My dogs have kennels for random things and don't mind being in them, but we don't have to kennel mine at all. I had my parents dog over the 4th of July last year and she's affraid of Fire works. She chewed a Hole in my carpet in the middle of the living room. Luckily it was only a $100 repair, I was livid though it was in my new house.

When I do end up adopting a dog, its personality is first and foremost. Secondarily I'm getting the scrappiest looking mutt ever.

Good man. Adopting a dog from a shelter is one of the more rewarding things a human can ever do.

Then you're going to want to stay away from English Bulldogs.

 

Because of the health issues. Yeah I know. But with the underbite and farting it's worth it. I think they are the funniest dogs ever. You only live once right. I want to teach him to do this.

my adopted pup is awesome. he doesn't act anything like a rescue..... other than his fear of cardboard boxes, but were working on that

 

hmmm, graduate next semester, work, live a winter in jackson hole and move to colorado?

or perhaps just move to colorado in time for next winter? what to do with my future

I moved here from North Idaho. I grew up and went to school in Sandpoint.
I really liked Idaho but the job situation was terrible back in the 80's and early 90's, so I moved here. The skiing/snowboarding is about the same.

 

this is the kind of dog i adopted....some kind of terrier mix really smart...ive never had a little dog before but Tushea is pretty cool...
