My rear end when it's cold rattles big time. Chased it to the rear fenders and or rear wheel wells. Stuffed some rolled up rags between the layers of plastic in the wheel well. It helps but still there. Embarrassing feels like the entire world is starring at me. Going to the dealer today to do some recall work. Will ask them if there is anything can be done to fix the rattle. Will post the outcome. You can hear the rattle by taking your fist on banging on the rear fender. Had the rattle since bought new in 2006.

Just broke 50K on my 2011 and I have have 2 distinct rattles in my dashboard, one by the steering column and one by the glove box... there is also one forming in the driver door. Planning on ripping the cabin apart when it gets warmer and figuring out what is going on... only rattles on cold (below 20 degrees) days.

the rear leafs do tend to yield over time on large bumps so i would have to say yes the truck isn't what it was the first day it came off the lot but then again, what truck ever is 100,000 miles later?

50k miles on mine and the dash noise sounds like the radio is gonna fall out in yer lap.

There's other noises too. Intake rattle, glove box, driveline thunk when stopping.

After 7 years you expect some, but this is too much IMO. The whole truck is just very light weight construction IMO & stuff is shaking loose.

But it still goes like hell when you mash the gas. I can forgive a lot if it keeps doing that. ;)

125K, no rattles but I drive very conservative, I miss all pot holes if possible and go over RR tracks slow, idle speed when cold. Don't see a lot of other drivers doing that they just run through everything so not sure how solid it would be if I was normal (did I say that)?

I'm getting this more and more. I don't believe it's my radio now.

I believe it's because all the plastic A/C & defroster ducts have shrunken with age & are loose at the ends where they should be jammed tight.

I say that because of the sounds, which sound like thin plastic jiggling about.

Anyhow, they should be easy to shim up, but probably very difficult to get to with the dash in place. :(

I have a feeling the plastic holsters that keep all the wiring in place have come loose and are bouncing around. I'll be sure to report my findings when I rip it all open.

My 08 Tacoma just turned 200,000 miles today and yes there are noises and rattles but that is normal wear and tear. If anyone finds a vehicle that remains tight and silent with this many miles let me know.
