How long were you driving around before you did it? Don't want to damage anything and my OCD is super weary of driving too long without doing it.

Anyone ever done the diyauto rental place? I need a new drivers ball joint, and to change fluids, spark plugs, filters, hoses, and a belt (I am almost to 90k) and working on the side of Washington Street is not working out (apartments for the lose). I figure they will have the necessary tools already there, plus a lift, plus a tech to fall back on if something comes up. Also figured I could do a few other things that a lift would aid and since you can have 6 people per bay you could knock out a few things easily if you hosted a mini mod day. Only downside is no beer......

    Anyone done this before?

There is no "I" in coloradan.
There is, sometimes, a russett potato in Colorado though.

MV50 came in the mail today.

LowRange had them on sale for $50.

Took it all apart ready to mod it and it looks like maybe they've improved them?

Found this post from Dirty Pool with some info on his mods to it. His looks just like mine. FWIW, he's a Colorado member with a wealth of Knowledge in the first gen section. Think he's got a full write up on his own site somewhere. I'll see if I can find it.

    Yeah, he's rather meticulous...

I think there's a point where you've spent entirely too much time on a $50 compressor, and he's 10 fold past there. Look at his write-ups on steering racks. When you start using precision tools like dial indicators, you've long since lost me. Not nearly enough, or big enough, hammers involved.
