I know. At one point I had a gen 3 19, and 34, and a gen 2 17 at the same time. Then I swore off Glocks, went to the S&W M&P, then abandoned them because both mine had issues. So I got another gen 3 19 and gen 4 19. Then I sold them and tried HK's. Then I went back full circle and got the gen 3 19 I have now. lol

I like Glocks for what they are. But only really the 19. Might pick up the 43 for a carry gun though.

I really wanted to like the M&P though. But both of mine couldn't hit the broad side of the barn even in a ransom rest. The barrel was so sloppy in the slide it rattled when you shook it.

I love HKs just wish I had the money for them. I have the soft spot for the 19. I'm hoping to get a gen 4 23 down the road. My brother has the 26 for his carry gun. Great for concealment

The tips of the rounds aways smack the bottom of the barrel when loading one in the chamber. I cycled by hand through a full mag 5 times and it jammed twice. Then I cycled through few mags with only 5 rounds in it and a majority of the time it would jam.

Here is what it is doing to the rounds. The tips are getting deformed and the five rounds on the right are even sunk in a 1/4" from hitting the face of the barrel. Any I ideas as to what's going on or is this normal for ak's?

Try a bullet guide? It's basically a feed ramp.

It is my understanding the barrels on these guns are all installed by Century Arms as they are imported as "parts kits". They install AKM barrels with no feed ramps, and as noted above you can install a bullet guide but I have also had some success with a dremel tool. I just cut a very basic ramp to smooth feeding, but it still didn't work for shit with the shorter hollowpoint rounds. Works fine for FMJ though. Either way get some Pmags man!

Rounds with the bullets pushed in could be dangerous to fire. Some catastrophic failures of glock .40 cals were traced in part to overpressure caused by bullets being pushed in due to repeated unloading and loading.

Need some help troubleshooting, glock 19 keeps hanging up badly when chambering a round, and will not cycle all the way unless I bump the rear. I'm using ball PMC ammo, nothing special. Has this happened to anyone else?

i did come across this while doing some research. need to look into it more. thanks guys

yes mine was built by CAI. they were kind of hit or miss from my understanding. guessing this one was more of a miss :( I've seen some pics where people have used a dremel to make/polish but I'm not thinking this will help me since the bullet needs more height to enter the chamber. i feel removing and metal will make it worse. i will definitely give the pmags a try weather i keep this gun or get rid of it and get another.

very true. i have about zero confidence in this gun.

thanks for all the advice guys. I'm currently trying to get my money back for the rifle since the guy that sold it to me said it functions great. he's kind of giving me the run around though :/

Is it a WASR? If I remember correctly, WASRs were single stack guns which were modified for double stack mags once the SARs dried up. If possible, I'd return it or send it in to CAI.

That is a pretty common issue. You can run hotter rounds that will fully cycle the slide, or try a more firm grip. If you limp wrist it at all with low power ammo the slide will fail to cycle properly. Personally, I have never experienced a reliable nor accurate Glock of any flavor and I bet I have fired at least two dozen different pistols and several thousand rounds. I'm not saying they can't be accurate or reliable, I'm just saying I have never personally fired one that was. In that price range, it's hard to beat the S&W M&P. Every one I have ever fired was more accurate than me and ate anything you stuffed in the mag. Just an idea, and I don't mean to start any brand wars or whatever. What works for ya, works for ya.

Is your G19 a Gen3 or a Gen4? If it's a Gen4, does the manufacturing date of your pistol fall within the RSA recall timeframe?

    http://us.glock.com/customer-service/recoil-spring-exchange

The correct RSA is marked "0-4-3", I believe. Additionally, take a look at your ejector, and it should be marked "30274" on the right side.

Ammo-wise, PMC is one of the weaker performers in the ammo business. Get a couple of boxes of this stuff and run it through your gun:

Your Glock is designed to eat this hotter stuff. If it still hangs up with this ammo and you've ruled out the RSA or any other factor, well...

    It might be you :D

The whole limp-wristing thing is overblown, IMO. I've only seen one or two shooters suffer from this, and fixing their problem was easy.

FWIW, I have two Gen3 Glock 9mm's - one made in '06 and the other in '07 - and they run like sewing machines. Some of the later (beginning with Rxxxxx S/N's) Gen3's and quite a few Gen4 pistols had issues, but Glock is (finally) addressing most of the problems and fixing them.

Hope this helps, and good luck.
