Meh. I'd rather go through my CU and pay the .99 than go through Toyota (or whoever) and get 0. They give cash back, free gap insurance and give 0 interest on my credit card for 18 months when I refinance or get a new vehicle loan.

That doesn't sound accurate. I would check your report on annualcreditreport.com ... it's free once a year to everyone for all 3 bureaus and will show you if they have been reporting for the life of the loan. If they ran your report (which I'm sure they did) and gave you an interest rate, they should be reporting to the credit agencies.

JSC and Shell are both good credit unions. I've been a member of shell since I was 16 or so, I also have one with JSC that I use for investing because their interest rate was high at the time (around 15%). But when you walk in the door they both treat you like family.

Lenders are sketchy as fuck, they don't really play by the rules so I wouldn't listen to whatever they say. My lender right now has access to all of my accounts but it had to be done since I don't have time to give him what he needs, I just let him get the info himself.

Mine did not report anything for the longest time. Now they only report to 1.
I dont use them for my day to day banking but are great to deal with on loans and stuff like that.
