I saw the Access Cab at the Denver Auto Show a couple of days ago. I'd agree the new Tacoma looks stunning in person. I don't get the backlash of the new grille. It's not how I would have designed it, but I think it's on par with the industry trends of having huge grills. I even think it's a bit more modest than other grills out there. I am really excited to see the full lineup. I really want to see black and spruce mica too.

its inferno, not Barcelona. May be too much chrome on the grille but black that sucker out and it'll look much better. its growing on me..

It's not that they're simply both 5 star wheels, that is obviously a common design. These two designs, though, are almost identical. You're in denial or blind if you can't see it.

Just reiterating what others have said, but this color is most certainly NOT Barcelona Red Metallic, but appears to be Inferno, the same color currently available on the TRD Pro.

That was the shitiest quality paint job on that truck I have seen in a while (lower body panels), but I guess that could be forgiven this being most likely preproduction truck.

Mud flaps are even cheaper than before, at least they shortened the fronts. Front air dam is held on by a bunch of screws so literally takes a minute to take off.

    Interior has body color accents...

Front end is ridiculous in person just as much as in photos imo, rest of the truck and interior looks nice...but than again thats just like my opinion...

Started the show with looking at the Taco, passed by again at the end of the evening, did not spot any more rust on the frame since, so I guess it has potential...

Not one salesman around it, barely anybody looking at the Taco...a lot more interest around the Canyon and a salesman that actually seamed to know a bit and seemed to care...

The 2016 DCLB, much like the 2nd gen DCLB is much too big and cumbersome to daily drive. You have to park it way at the back of the Walmart with all the RVers and it doesn't go through starbucks drive throughs without reversing several times. What a chore.

I don't get why so many people keep posting about how much they do not like the new Tacoma, yet they keep coming back to this forum. I really just think they have not come to terms with how much they like it. It's kind of like how when you are a kid and your best friend gets a brand new bike. You secretly like it, but you bash it because you're a bit jelly. 2016 Taco,FTW.

You couldn't be further off, at least for me and I suspect a decent amount of others on here. Some might be jealous, for whatever reason. But for many, such as myself, there's a lot of disappointment knowing how good this truck could have been. I'm in the market for a new truck and have been patiently waiting for this redesign. I think the front end, especially the grill, is horrendous. Almost to the point that its a deal breaker, but will wait to see in person to make final judgement. Other aspects of the truck I either like or don't mind. I think a lot of the criticism surrounding the Tacoma is simply based of it not meeting expectations.

I never liked the 2nd gen when I first saw it, and I didnt like the 3rd. The 2nd gen grew on me, and I would imagine this will too.

For those wondering about aftermarket bumpers, someone will figure it out. nbd

Some people set their expectations too high. They wanted a V8, a Diesel, and a zillion MPG. The Tacoma's niche is that of a lifestyle truck that can tow a decent (not huge) amount and last a long time.
The reason the truck does not look dramatically different from the Gen 2 is because their product specialists surveyed current and potential customers and saw that they really liked the current styling of the truck.

No kidding. The 2000 Tundra already had a lock. 16 years late is better than never though. While I always locked things up in my 05 Tundra DC with a cable lock, I had at least some peace of mind that a random passing meth head couldn't open my tail gate to steal my stuff or the tail gate itself.

I drive mine every day, parallel park it when i need too, etc. sure i may need to look for a longer spot but it's fine.

If you cant park in at wal mart, clearly you don't know how to reverse into a spot. Try it some time.

Maybe that grille is a special one aimed specifically for the Canadian market
