What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

That's the mod I'm thinking of doing along with the deck plate mod. Hoping for good results

How I see it if it gives me about 10-15 more horsepower after both mods it'll be worth it for what it costs for them. But still just looking for good cheap mods to do lol

It's been dyno documented that the deckplate mod alone can give about 8, on a certain truck at a certain time.

 

There's no way it's that helpful.

 

Many years ago a neighbor of mine once fooled around perforating the front of his air box, he said it was pointless on a NA engine. He went on to found URD.

 

I just can't bring myself to believe that hot air intake our of the engine bay is better than cold air out of the fender.

 

Anyone that has done these mods care to share there hp gains on the 3.4? I'm curious on how much or little it is. So I don't feel like wasting time on it.

I can assure you that 99.9999999 percent of those who have cannot prove it with actual dyno results, regardless of what they feel in their yamsacks.

You can likely get similar results by going on a diet and taking a big shit, taking the tools out of the back, and running your tank down to empty.
