This works better than a damp rag.

After cleaning the area completetly, i rubbing compound the scratches and swirl marks away and then wax the whole area

I have 3M rubbing compound and a wax applicator.

I don't enjoy running the buffer

I just prefer removing scratches by hand so that i don't have to deal with all the compounds and swirl removers

I want to do a unique (to my knowledge) design but it may bring the bumper out to far.
I want to do a tube wrap around but I'm not sure about the amount of work it'll bring.

You have to put flush mount LEDs in it

make me one, I got about $30[/QUOTE]

It will probably be for sale after I finish it and test it, but it probably won't be $30 unless I grossly miscalculated cost of materials.

    Google sketch up

You know I will, I'm also contemplating cutouts for 6" light bars (flush LEDs would be connected to reverse while bars are independent).

I got this far into the mock up stage today, wanted to do more but I'm leaving on a road trip to TX in a hour and a half.
I can probably make the bottom of the bumper higher by building my own brackets instead of using the stock ones, but bumper is currently 7 1/4" tall (approximately) and the license plate is ~ 6" tall so I couldn't shorten it to much unless I did something different for the plate mount.

that thing is huge already. i see no need for it to be that big and boxy. is that how it would sit? or would you cut the bedsides and bring it in closer?

Yes, I don't want to cut my bedsides until I've got the bumper design dialed in how I like it.
I can build it a little shallower even with the stock bumper brackets, but if I built my own brackets to the frame I could make it ~2" shallower.

I can make it a little shorter also if I build different brackets.

I'm gonna try a few different things with the license plate mounts. We will see what I come up with.

    Thanks.

Build a tube bender, spend ~$80 on a harbor freight bender (Ehh quality, and it shows in the bends), or save and get a JD2 bender ($400, good starting bender that would work well in our shop).

I'm not doing anything in your state, I was in madisonville to pick up a dump trailer, but we got home around 16:00
I wanted to drive up to cleburne and spend the night at a friends house but apparently that wasn't in the plans.
