ugh, my head unit is getting worse. I might keep my spending spree going and buy a new deck... which leads to buying an antenna... which leads to poking holes in the fender and hoping that goes smooth (I have a flare-less fender that needs flare holes drilled)

I have been doing some map-looking recently and think I found a way... I am just unsure on 1/2 of it (the other half is part of the WABDR, so I know it's good.).

Essentially navigate from Yakima to here via google... 46.846117, -120.566724 and that's where it meets up with the WABDR and heads into Ellensburg. There are a couple other routes off the side that may work, if that one doesnt...

Did some digging through old bookmarks, and this is the 'road' i had in mind. Hey, Dakota, does that road sound familiar?

Awesome! what part of the NW are you in? or what part of the seattle area? cause i get off on the 13th and likely go back to work on the 18th myself. my best day to offroad is on the 16th. i have a friend who has a jeep, can he tag along as well? we may stop to do some shooting as well, in both the photographic sense and the gun sense. we'd probably explore snoqualmie NFS roads up near the summit, since they have some fresh snow on the way, and i have yet to go snow-trail driving this year.

We should totally set something up for summer!

Yea, figured i'd ask though if anyone had the odd day out or something. i work 7 days a week when i'm working... so i know the feeling of not having a day off. :(

Define "exploring"... are you looking to get muddy and rocky, or just go explore on some NFS roads? cause i dunno yet about getting rocky, i just got my rig, and to be offroading this soon -lol- is quite a thing.

Yeah that's familiar. It's just green dot thoigh... Not too exciting. There's one trail up there that Im gonna do after I finish my rear. I wanna get a meet going to run it buuuut... The gate keeper is gonna be scary. Lifted the rear tire in my buddy's JK and was really sketch in my other buddy's old yota. Both solid axles. I don't think its possible to get a trail limo through it...

As far as wheeling it I say go for it! I had an old yota that I did a show lift on and now I have a new one that i thrash. :notsure: haha tacos are fun!

Anyone seen a silver 2nd gen extra cab towing a mini excavator around lately? I've seen it twice now and can't believe he's doing it. I did a triple take the first time I saw it.

For me exploring is just driving the forest service roads. I like to go up in the Olympic National Park and just drive around looking for new shooting areas. Its fun to just cruise around, stop for a bit and do some shooting or hiking, then head down.

I haven't done all that much rock crawling or anything but wouldn't do that with out a group anyways. See the San Diego thread for a good reason why!
