Congrats!

I just gave the Taco an intensive interior cleaning and remounted the BFG/Beadlocks. It's a good day. I wish the truck didn't fall off the jack though, that was a bit scary. I really need to invest in a good floor jack. The rear wheels were basically rust-welded to the hubs and I managed to shake the truck enough for the jack to slip. Luckily it was only about 1" off the ground and fell right back on the wheel. At least the wheel broke free. That will teach me not to skip the wheel chocks next time.

Does anyone know if a low profile style racing jack has enough extension to get one of our trucks (with a mild lift) off the ground enough to take off a wheel. I need something low profile to get under the STi, but I'd like to avoid needing two separate jacks.

 

Dealer did water pump, timing belt, exhaust manifolds, front wheel bearings, brakes/rotors all around, some exhaust crap, 2 new brake calipers and a few other random things. Dealer service records from new every 5000miles too.

 

MIke next time you have an issue loosen the lugs a little and leave the truck on the ground and shake it side to side.

 

I usually just give them a good heel kick and they pop right off.

 

I think some of the big ass floor jacks, 3ton should get high enough

 

Yup but you still run the risk of knocking it off the jack and or stands

 

Congrats on the T4R... I did the oil change/ tire rotation thing today..... Don't laugh my old oil filter was dated 9/20/14.... The truck had only gone 2300 miles...

Take all but 2 lug nuts off and the 2 lugs that are on are loose you can do the heal kick from behind but the tire won't fly off. It will just go away from the face it was seated on, and if the truck falls off the stands/jack it wont kill you.
