    I am about to purchase an Alpine cda-9887 and I am trying to figure out what dash kit to install it with.

    If anyone has photos of after market head units installed in an 01-04, I would like to see the them. I am interested in what the dash kit and pocket looks like too. What kind of dash kit is it that you have?

    That would be awesome. What HU are you installing and what dash kit did you get. They have Scosche kits at Walmart for $15. Another kit that I hear talked about is from Metra.

    I am installing the JVC KDR300, I wish I can get something better, but I'm only in high school with a part time job. I bought the $15 Scoshe kit and the $8 Scoshe wiring kit from Walmart.

    Im not sure, there isnt a kit for the 2000? I thought I saw one.

    Yeah, there is a kit for the 2000, I had the OEM double Din CD/Tape player in it when I bought it. I had to buy the kit and wiring adapter at Walmart for it. Scoshe I think. On Metra's site it is the same kit for the 99-04.

    You have to use the OEM brackets that are attached to the OEM stereo, you actually screw the bracket to the plastic sorage bin and the stereo so it becomes one unit. Very easy install.

    Yep, all done with the installation, I did it a few months back. It came out great, minus the fingerprints and smudges all over everything in the pic...

    Word of advice if you do a speaker replacement... When replacing the door speakers, you will have to get spacers for the speakers or the magnets will hit the window tracks. I bought my Infinity speakers from Crutchfield and they gave me the adapters free. The rear speakers are really easy, and require no spacers.

    Good move on knowing your limitations in spending. Later in life, you will be able to afford more...and pay cash for it. :) Buying toys with credit is bad. Sorry, I will climb down off my box now.
