So I was in an accident...bent a wheel, atx chambers which are discontinued, so I had to purchase a new set. I got some pro comps, same size 16x8, 4.5 bs, 0 offset. I also broke one of my LR UCA's, so I went ahead and upgraded those to a set of Total Chaos. I run 285/75/16 Toyo open country at/2's. Before the accident, I had no rubbing at all. Now, the drivers side rubs the cab mount pretty hard but only in reverse at full wheel lock to the left.

I'm going to chop the cab mount I guess, unless there is an easier option. What could cause this only on the one side? Alignment issue perhaps? Any thoughts appreciated. Would rather not chop the mount if another option is available.

Also, the repair work was done at the Toyota dealership. They told me that it was impossible to put on the center caps of my new wheels. Is this true, or do they just not know what they're doing?

    New wheels:

I can not attest to the center caps but I would most def have a competent front end specialist look at your front end and alignment. The best of luck.

Good idea. Toyota aligned it, but I have the "lifetime alignment" deal from firestone, so it will cost me nothing to have them align it also. Perhaps Toyota dealer screwed it up because they're not familiar with the TC UCA's.

Frame looks fine. The lower control arm was replaced, the UCA's I upgraded to Total Chaos. Just about everything inside that wheel well is brand spankin new....I think the first and most non-invasive thing to do is give alignment another shot.

What did it feel like to rip the ball joint? I bet it scared the crap outta u!
