Last time I swapped wheels, it was 15 degrees out. I had to take the rear wheels off with a sledge hammer.

When I worked at a shop we had a guy come in with aluminum wheels and a flat tire on a -20 degree day. We had to run a hose out from the bathroom and pour warm water over the wheel for about 5 minutes before it'd let go of the hub enough to get smacked off with the 20lb deadblow hammer we kept in the shop.

Perfect examples for shaking the vehicle side to side with loose lugs. Let the vehicle do the work for you. It is different when it is on a lift, then I used to loosen lugs place a 2x4 against the wheel and hit with a dead blow. I just don't see the need to take the chance of it falling and possibly damaging the wheel.

The stock jack works just fine with a mild lifted truck. The suspension lifts don't require a taller jack, the distance from the ground to the axle doesn't change. I used a cheap Craftsman jack for mine.
Unfortunately, probably not, work has been killing me lately and weekends are getting filled up with running around with the little one. I'll try to get there if I can, need to check the dates again and see if I can swing it this year. I haven't been to one yet and I've been a green member for years now!

You guys don't put neverseize between the wheel and the hub?? I do that every tire rotation and never had to kick, shake or anything of the sort to get my wheels off.

Felt good to get outside and wash both vehicles. But it mainly felt good just being outside. Other than skiing 1-2 times a week in the winter I hibernate.

We tried that, lol. It was a no-go. That wheel was holding on for dear life.

I do that on all of my vehicles. Makes it SOOO much easier to get wheels off, but also makes brake work much messier because I inevitably brush up against the hub

Yup. I was planning to replace the whole setup anyways. Those AALs are from Toytec.
