Yours are looking good man! I had the same issue with my plastidip wheels when they mounted and balanced the new st Maxx but I just repainted good as new! I run 40 psi on 255/80/17 for better mpg might drop down to 35 for better tread wear but so far happy. Love that color truck btw!

Maybe widening the stance to compensate for the lost in tire width would help? :notsure:

Just put them on today. 255/80/17. Absolutely love them. Was about to get the KM2s until I read about these. Much better option for me to have no rubbing issues no matter what lift, good city driving, and good gas mileage. Only 45lbs a tire is pretty light and still E rated 10 ply sidewalls. Can't wait to use them longer!

I'm not trying to be a tool here but the ST MAXX in 255/80/17 is a 57 pound tire at the least. Where did you hear 45?

Well it was on the paper. I didn't believe it either so I picked it up and it felt the same as my 285 revo2 which is 46. Weird. Still it drives really nice

For those still debating on the 255/85's, they are great. Big fan.

Debating these or 285's. What do you like better about the 255's?

Mine are on! Initial impressions are good. Highway manners are great. These are a night and day difference in noise compared to my half worn KM2s in the same size. Literally thought I was driving my old commuter car with highway tires. They grip pretty well in the dirt too.

The only thing I am slightly surprised/disappointed at is the actual size. These were about 1-1.5" shorter than my half worn KM2's brand new. I didn't really think it would be much but right before I put the last tire on I checked and there is a substantial difference.

That being said, I will get a little better MPGs and have felt minor power differences having a slightly smaller tire again. They still look great and for the type of offroading and driving I do these are definitely a better option compared to a full on MT tire. If they hold up well and do well in the snow next winter I probably will keep replacing them with the same tire.

255s are hassle free. 285s start to rub different spots. Definitely go with 255s

Yup I had both and I like the 255 better. I dont even overly notice the size difference when looking at the truck, and thats really the only pro of the 285s. I dont care what people are saying too, I had both tires in side by side and they were almost the same weight as the 285 P rated revo 2s. So if you want to go E rated tire, then these are the lightest and most street available you can get I think

What Zach said, 285's require a lot of extra work to get them to fit. Zach your trucks looking good! I noticed they weren't quite as big as I was expecting but they're still a solid fit. More than enough to not have to deal with road noise haha

I think the Km2s might just be big? Mine measure pretty close to what the 285 revos were
