I watched a full bodied first gen mini truck do it, he looked to be on 37s or 38s. Crazy obsticle! One of the fun parts about an event there is going to that garden at around midnight and watching all the drunk hillbilly's blow their shit up taking runs at it

Pic is not working for me..

I have a harlan trip planned for the 4th of July. Hopefully I can keep it rubber side down lol.

    Edit:

Now it's working, that rock garden looks fun as shit! I will def be running through that. I have never seen your truck before though.. I have never seen a snow camo tacoma either which is why I did mine like that. What are the odds lol. You have a build thread?

No build thread, I need to get around to making one...

I actually know of another snow camo Taco, I think it was one of Brain's (Brian) from the TTORA days. My paint was done by Jimmy from TTORA a number of years ago. I want to go just straight gloss white before I tube out the truck this summer. It just doesn't feel like mine if that makes sense.

There is nothing spectacular about the truck besides everything just working really well together and drives 75 the whole way home.

I don't think I had to reverse more than once the whole garden....12:1 is awesome. Best upgrade ever. Totally got denied on white tail, there was just enough moisture that made everything really slick. Beadlocks are a priority now.

Yeah double low is ridiculous lol, I used it once on my first run. Beadlocks are also my next purchase! I was running 5 lbs on steelies last time I was out haha. Mine actually doesn't drive terrible on the street but it's full hydro so it is a little sketchy with the tires aired up but I still drive it around town all the time.

I thought it was Mike on TTORA (there may be three now...), he had one of the first SAS tacos and he had that a really hot asian wife who also had an SAS truck. This was way back in the TTORA days...

Easily the highlight of the trip. The park is awesome but huge so you really need a good three days to get around. We didn't get to mason jar till late in the day on the last day so we didn't run it. Didn't feel like recovering slander the whole way through it :D

Hey now..... Yea pretty much lol!! I have documented proof that I ran the obsticle to the end without winching... It was 2008 though!! Hey I got my winch working yesterday, perfect timing hahahaha! My wife was asking me "wouldn't it have made more sense to get it working before you went to Harlan??"

It sucks that some of that did disappear. I still read build threads from years ago all the time. I don't remember any of those names you guys mentioned :(

Whats your clearance on that skid plate? It might be just the picture angle but it Looks like it hangs down there pretty low.

it does hang down pretty low. about 5" lower than the frame rails but it was worth it to not have to cut the body up.

Do they still wheel? They kind of fell off the face of the earth, along with a lot of the TTORA alum from he 2005 era when i signed up. I remember your old truck and i have looked over you bed bobbing post on pirate a few times when i was going to do that... Then I remulched my house using my truck to pick up free loads of the stuff and realized having a full length bed can be useful. Plus my beds too munched up to weld it correctly, so ill leave it until it falls off or caves in.

I may PM you regarding some painting questions (mainly prep), my trucks paint is F'd and i want to rattle can it with the ivan stewart TRD style paint job and not have it look totally like ass.

I think Mike is getting out to wheel more but Nicole hasn't. Their kids are getting old enough now they can get out more but I dunno. I'm not on Facebook so I'm not on the up and up. I remember the old delphi norcalttora when I first bought my last truck. Did research and axle swapped it less than a year after I bought it :D Crazy I built that truck when I was 19.

Bobbed beds are sweet for the departure angle. I never hit my rear bumper after I bobbed the last truck, only got hung up on the leaf spring shackle.

For paint, sand down the stock paint the best you can, primer and spray away. I really dig the old school Ivan Stewart paint jobs. Kinda wish I got a white truck so I could pull it off easier but it might work well with silver too. Been thinking about plasti-dipping it with those graphics but that's a lot of plasti-dip haha

With the locations and the way i wheel i will tear the plastidip off the first run out, so rattle can it is!! I should probibly repaint the entire truck, but the lazy ass in me just want to the do the stripes and the ass end in red. With the pace i move on mods it will be 2020 before I complete this.

There was so much good tech on the NorcalTTORA delphi board. I'm glad i snagged the FSM when I did!

Plasti dip is actually pretty tough once the sun hardens it. I scraped the stuff on my truck in Moab on some pretty gnar bushes and it didn't peel the dip off. Might be a different story on rocks though.
