Thanks for the replies. I guess my worry was that the rear would end up lower with some "bro lean" lol. And I suppose that if I do get the 885's I could always add the LR UCA's a couple of months down the road. Don't get me wrong I would add them right aways but rent aint cheap and my commute is very short. (long story short I can't afford them right away). I also thought about getting the 884's and 1/4 top plate spacers if I thought the front needed to be higher. Some more info is I don't have plans for a front bumper or winch, and I plan on getting either 235/85/16 or 265/75/16's, not sure yet. Probably ST MAXX's.

Oh and Im familiar with the great OZ from reading the first 83 pages... hence the "mya" lol

 

Dakars are much better than the stock leaf springs, it shouldn't sag with the dakars. 885's give like 2-2.5 inches of lift so they'd match best with the dakars with are like 2.75 inches. 887's give you 3 inches

Considering going with 887 coil with no top plate spacer but I was wondering, Is the trim packer still needed with this set up? Plus if you wanted to run top plate spacer could you?

 

"Can" you? Probably but your CV's are going to have a pretty steep angle.

Ok so I found out that the aluminum pelfreybilt plate bumper weighs 65 lbs and then add winch to that which is about another 50+ lbs what would y'all recommend up front as my setup? The 886 with trim packer, the 885 with 10mm enhancer kit, or the 887 with the trim packer kit? Or is there another way I should go to get 3" lift all around (truck being level that is).

 

This is what I would love my truck to look like what height do y'all think it's at 2.5"? And what size tires?

 

Okay so what I've gathered from reading this thread is that if I want to lift my 2009 Access Cab 4x4 a full 3 inches without using any top spacers (keep in mind I have no armor whatsoever on my truck). Then I should get the 90000 sport shocks and 885 coils. Because it sounds like the 90021 sport shocks with the 885 coils tend to settle to around 2.5 inches of lift. Is this correct or am I wrong?

 

887's for 3 inches of lift without spacers. 90021's are the shocks that are replacing the 90000's. 90021's are valved softer than 90000's for a bit of a softer ride. 885's give like 2-2.5 inches of lift without the spacer

 

885's give 2 - 2 1/2" of lift on s DC

 

Toytec doesn't even have the option for 877's in the complete 3 inch OME lift kit. I also only have an Access cab with no additional front weight so wouldn't 887's be overkill? I already thought the 90000 sport shocks with 885's were a little overkill as it is, but would help to prevent settling and keep it at a full 3 inch lift.

Also I'm pretty sure you can't use 887's with the 90021 shocks as Toytecs website says you can't even use the 886's with them...

 

Call toytec and see if they will mix up the kit for you. I have an access cab with no front weight (yet....it might be a little while before I can get a bumper) and I asked them to build 887s/90021s on my OME kit so I could get 3 inches up front without spacers.

 

I'm curious. Have you put this on yet? What did you get up front for lift? I just bought 887's with 90000s for my access cab.

 

Put it on this weekend. I'm actually at my local shop getting it aligned right now. I got 3 inches all around with dakars/nitro chargers and the 887/90021s

 

I just installed this my lift last weekend 2011 TRD OR 4x4, no armor and no added weight.

I installed the 887s with driver side trim packer AND 1/4" top plate spacer and Dakars with

$82 D29XL Leaf Spring

D29XL AAL in the rear.

I started out with ONLY the trim packer and still had a 1/2" difference driver side to passenger side.

Added the top plate spacer and now the driver side lean is gone and it looks great.

Don't have any pictures yet, but plan to take some today if I get time.

Here are the measurements:

Front (Driver and Pass): 23 7/8"
Rear(Driver and Pass): 25 1/4"

 

Just installed Dakar leafs and Icon shocks. Removed 3rd leaf. Waiting for the suspension to settle to get measurements but off the bat I've already got 2 1/2" more droop than with stock leaf pack and 5100s. Very happy after my first test drive. Not too stiff not too soft it's just right.
