    Hi TW people!

Within the last year (thanks to the help of a special group of TW lab rats) I've had a very successful Tacoma door sill protector run. As a matter of fact it's still running. :) http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...tek-fab-door-sill-protectors.html#post7834107

    Thanks all!

Anyway I've had tons of PM requests to do a Tacoma tailgate rail cap for the second gen so I've decided to go ahead and work on a prototype. Before I do I need some info from you guys.

Quite simply... Are there any changes to the Tacoma tailgate rail from the first year of the second gen until now?

Second gen Tacoma is 2005/2015. Has the third gen been released yet? If so is the tailgate rail different?

    Thanks for the help!

stuff that makes it better for my use...
I will throw in my 2 cents, because I broke the stock clips. on the stock cap it does not come down the face enough for me, I work out of my truck and when I shut the tailgate I find that I am using the paint rather than the cap to slam it shut and it ends of being a magnet for my scratchy dirty hands. So I guess an additional 1 1/2" or so would be cool.

You could just copy the guys already making these , that's what most new vendors seem to do

Looks like the tailgate rail cap had been done, and done, and done.

    Close thread please.
