I have an extra OEM CV that only needs a boot (all cleaned up, just need to slap a boot on it and put back together) if you are interested. $30 plus shipping and it's yours or I can reboot it for the price of a new boot.

Well since you opened the "can-o-worms"....... from the photos it appears that you actually did lose travel with the stock shackles. The longer shackles look like you were dropping a tire farther and keeping it on the ground where in the photo with the stock shackles, you're at the limit of travel (which is less) and the tire is already off the ground.

^^^ yeah but if you look at the ground there is more washout in the same spot from water run off. So maybe he didn't loose as much as it appears.

Actually I believe the first photo is him with 265s and the second is 295s. Bigger tires. So really. Probably didn't loose down travel.

He did gain back stock up travel though so overall he did actually gain travel. Because he lost uptravel with the longer shackles.

Did you remove overload leaf at same time? Looks like I have the same amount of articulation one my truck. Right now i have the 95-97 skyjacker leafs. Would it be worth converting to a 98+ setup? DSC_0336_zpsjf7ipcfs_d2b483d058faf8e8f316d411747ab5c1bef68e82.jpg

I think one of the rear bearings is going out. It speaks a little when starting from a dead stop but goes away when I get to 25mph. Need to clean the wheels. I got them mud wobbles

Dropped my truck off at a buddy's shop this morning to have my new muffler and side exit welded on. Should be nice and deep tone wise, and also finally not have the exhaust dumping under the bed (never was fond of that). I'll post up a video if I have time, I go to pick it up at 1:45pm.

I wanted a side exit but the way my bed cage is and the mounting of my rear shocks its no possible.

How close to the shock body are you going to be?

Why not have a side exit right behind the passenger or driver door? Be real nice and loud then :p

No room for that unless you run the muffler way back by the cat and use a 14 inch

so...second photo is with bigger tires.....which should stay on the ground longer than a smaller tire........yet it's not?.....

screw it. if you want to run stock shackles, run stock shackles. if you want to run long shackles run long shackles.

    I agree with this.

one of these days I will understand why people rarely play with the pivot point and shackle length to achieve what they are looking for. But in the end I guess its probably all about personal preference.
