Would an exhaust tip silence some noise?

I am returning my intake and exhaust back to stock, and i am wondering if an exhaust tip would help in reducing the noise.

An exhaust tip would more than likely make it louder lol. Also, why are going back stock? Just wondering .. the intake I can understand, but why the exhaust?

 

I would like to go back to stock for the in cabin noise. Do you think a autozone replacement muffler would be as silent as the original oem muffler?

Exhaust tips just change the appearance of the exhaust tip. You might want to look around (if you're not a big hurry) as complete OE exhaust systems show up on craig's list from time to time from owners who replace their stock systems with noisier systems.

I think a rolled exhaust tip makes more noise than without, but wtf do I know? I'm just a peckerhead living in the woods with too many guns. Lol.

 

I would definitely do this, and watch this site as well for an OEM system. The autozone system will probably not have nice smooth bends like the oem system. Also, the TRD catback keeps noise at an appropriate levels if you still want some noise lol
