Thanks! I saw your post earlier and was hoping you'd chime in. I think 01-04 will be best as well.

 

Redo the rear hanger so its attatched to the frame. The body can move in its mounts more than enough to where exhaust will hit frame where its close. Right above where your exhaust exits there are threaded holes in frame where you can bolt a hanger to.

Next week I'm doing the valve cover gaskets,tube seals, cam caps, and half moons and rear axle seal. Gonna change the spark plugs while I'm at it and was wondering what people recommend running in the 3.4

 

I have a look into that when I get a chance. I drove quite a bit today and even went and hit a trail without any clanking from the exhaust. It's hard to tell but my pipe is angled downward and has quite a bit of clearance.

I always run OEM plugs. I'd do the same If I had a 3.4

 

That's what I was thinking I'd just get everything from work and replace the plugs while I'm in there

 

Dood!! Just realized we have virtually the same truck. Right on I don't know what type of thinking you've been doing regarding a wheel/tire setup on that thing but keeping your stockers and painting them black with some nice meaty mud terrains would look pretty b.a. with the color of your truck

Also. My ac compressor is squealerin' to its death. Yes I said squealerin. Wondering how hard it would be to install a new one myself...I know the system has to be discharged and what not but that seems to be the only thing stopping me from not getting ramrodded at the stealership.

 

Hell yah! It is fairly loud from the exterior, but inside the truck there is just a nice low rumble with only a very slight drone (and I mean super slight) at 2750 rpm

Lol we sorta all have the same truck, but yeah yours is pretty similar to mine. How do you like the add a leaf on yours? I really want to get a pair of SCS F5s in the gunmetal color and put some [insert meaty tire that starts a "which tire is better" war].

 

Make sure you check the gap, they are "supposed" to be pre gapped, but myself and others have had, erm, something like 3 of 6 not be to spec from factory.

 

How do you gap the double ground densos?
