Air bags perhaps?

I noticed when towing my trailer, my truck squats a little, its livable, not too bad at all really, but I would love to be able to level it out a bit.

I was looking at these:

seems like a good option, low price easy to install.

though I find it hard to believe there is no drilling required, considering they show drilling the rails in the video, and there are no pre drilled holes in my truck that I can see (perhaps Im wrong)

anywho, was wondering what opinions were on this option..

Yea, but I really don't want to change the ride of the truck permanently, I like how she sits and rides just fine, except when the trailer is attached.

 

It wont change the ride that much. Hardly noticeable.

 

I don't want the rear sitting any higher when not loaded. I hate that look. I like it more or less level, and im not trading a level ride with the trailer, for a ass jacked look the rest of the time.

 

You could always buy bilsteins and set them at 1.75" of lift. Then buy a 1.5 or 2" aal.

 

will all that cost more than 200 bux? is it adjustable?

 

The bilstein 5100's are adjustable and have i believe 3 height adjustments. But you cannot adjust them on the truck. You choose what you want then put them on. I think just for the front they will run you maybe $150. Then the aal is about 70 or 80.

 

Well, then for my application (price being considered) the airbags seem a better option..

I only need to raise the rear (when the trailer is attached) about 1 inch or so.. not much at all. I downloaded the vehicle specific install directions and sure enough, there is no drilling required to install the air lift kit. So the appeal is obvious. Low cost, easy install, and I only have to "use" them when needed, so It wont effect the unloaded ride (which I am very happy with).

I was just curious if there were any big no-nos or things to really look out for when adding extra support to the rear.
