I like the idea of black housings but I went with chrome. Thought they would draw less unwanted attention that way.

Hmm, I tend to agree on that.
Just want to see my options I guess, retro possibilities are endless but I like to stick out

I was thinking d2s, g37r shrouds- black, amber halo behind, white smaller halo in front, and housings either black or color matched.

Exactly, i just like how the color match flows together, I'm just having a hard time trying to visualize the housings color matched with black shrouds.

Anyone think it would be a bad idea to go to slick rock w/ a leaky steering rack? Prolly been that way for 2 years, small leak on pass side shaft. It does clunk everyonce and a while though.

If I were to redo mine I would do the same as you maybe a different shroud not sure yet. I did white behind wish I would've done amber behind and white up front.

This would make you stick out! I've seen a couple people color match those or do a strip of some sort on the shroud

I would say yes, steering is kind of important. But it's your tacoma you know it better than us.

Anybody know why trailer hitches are so damn expensive? I only want one so I can use a recovery hitch but don't justify paying more than $100 for one...

White iPad mini at half price. $10 vinyl wrap. I'd say the math adds up just fine

Do you have a local toyota junk yard. You can find one pretty cheap.
