What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Lol damn!! That's crazy man. I guess I was wondering more along the lines of would my power steering just go out? (Still driveable but hard to steer) or would the shaft break out of the rack or something and make it undriveable.

 

Are you wanting like the towing package or the hitch with a ball on it?

 

Best play it safe then sorry man. Could be something like a o-ring that failed or worse. My first tacoma had a rack and Pinon steering was pretty cool to maneuver around Walmart like a little Ford or something lol

I know people are going to think I'm crazy, but try some of this:

Amazingly enough it worked on my leaking rack with one bottle (they say up to two may be needed) It also stopped the rack from whining and made it sooooo smooth.
I figured it was snake oil but it was only $14 at Walmart, figured it was a cheap enough gamble and it paid off.

 

New water pump, both pulleys, thermostat, timing belt, A/C belt, power steering belt, alternator belt, and upper radiator hose. Still need to get a new alternator and change the tranny fluid. Got a bunch of dirt out of the radiator too in all the fins. Few weeks ago it got an oil change and air filter cleaned.

Overall it should feel like a new truck.

 

Lucas makes some great stuff. I put the transmission slip stuff in a automatic transmission when it's shifting rough and it fixes it.

Ha ha ha you guys are funny! I really don't know if it even weighs that much..probably close. A while back I discovered a subwoofer setup that I really liked and haven't changed it since. 12" Cerwin Vega vmax w/ kicker 1000watt amp in standard vented box...got the fkr ratcheted down in the back seat otherwise it'll go wherever it wants and I'm not fond of subwoofers flying into the dash don't ask me how I know

Yeah..I coulda swore when I was looking at a paint chart of all the tacoma's colors the cool steel metallic was a little more 'blue' than mine, but yeah way less fruity lol
