Since my presence at Rock Therapy has been made official!! :D ..Anyone planning to run TOTW Saturday morning? How long is that trail and can it be paired up with another run in time for the raffle or no? I do wanna run Hells Revenge with a group going on Friday if that's the official day for it?

Otherwise Friday and Saturday will be my only wheeling days. I may be there with some daylight left on Thursday evening, but I'll prolly use that time to go and meet all you fine gentlemen! Kane creek was high on my list but it looks like there may not be enough time to do it, I'm open to ideas tho. Here's my list again:
    -Kane Creek
    -Top of the World
    -Hells Revenge
    -Porcupine Rim
    -Bull Canyon
    -Tower Arch
    -Dunes!
    -Elephant Hill
    -Sevenmile Rim

Are you thinking the long way around are through Cottonwood Canyon? I wouldn't want to do that canyon in a 2wd.

May I suggest/request the first post be updated with rough times for trails/popular trails? Like a scale of 1 to 5, or just "short/medium/long/all day," or something that would help us Moab noobs get a sense of which ones we should plan on doing in how many days.

Any suggestions for those of us rolling in a little early? I hope to be there late Monday or early Tuesday.
Doesn't have to be wheeling trails. Maybe a particular sight/site to see, or local business to patronize?
My 6yo son will be with me......

Likewise. Or any other day (night).
Any other common night runs to expect a sign-up for?

go hit up arches, its a blast if you've never been there. definitely worth the trip. there are tons of tourist stores along the strip, very good way to spend a day! you can go check out the infamous potato salad hill, but i dont think ull see much action on there during the week.. u can go to hole in the rock, kind of fun.. loads of stuff to do.

I will look into this, but its all so hearsay because some people move much faster than others and larger groups take much longer. for the most part plan on a day trip for each. the Longer ones will be the "trifecta", hells revenge, moab rim, kanes(with a large group)... there are much more but you get the idea. just plan on all day for each.

check out moab adventure center. a group of us did a ropes course last year. Had a blast til Bob kicked one of the instructors and laid him on his ass. up til then it was awesome! I agree withvvvvvvvvv arches would be col to hike with your son.

I would be caustious about night runs until you find your "moab legs" wheel during the day a couple times then look into night runs. fins or hells would be the only trails id likely run at night.

    this^

As jace said, assume every trail is a full day especially if people in the group need a lot of spotting. Plus a couple of breaks and you are on the trail hours longer than you wanted. If you finish a trail early, take it as a reward and spend a bit more time in town, kick it as camp, relax, take a shower, get the rig/camp ready....drink more. :D

There will be people there early. Myself as well as most of our idaho group will be there monday on. Trails are up in the air and whatever we feel like, so come by and start hanging out and make requests

Can we get a list of things people want to go do ourside of wheeling? Other attractions? I know people did that last year.

I would like to hit a couple bars down there, if anyone knows of places that have little live shows or concerts that would be cool too

The brewery is always decent... no shows though that i know of. Arent you a show yourself at camp Mark????

With the two short days this year, i dont think Kim and I will take a full day off but you never know. Lunch in town does sound fun. 2 years ago, we went to a winery for tastings and lunch. That was kinda col, ladies loved it. Ice cream though and walking around town is always a good time in my book. I wonder if any bars in town havemlive music during the week? Id be down with that Mark.
